Bridgeview Auxiliary Police Officers and staff escorted the parade through the community.

On Sunday, November 9th, the charity organization Tow Trucks for Tots made its return to Bridgeview. Tow Trucks for Tots holds an annual tow truck parade to rally the towing community in support of collecting toys for children, and they were last at Bridgeview’s SeatGeek Stadium in 2021. This year’s parade featured 221 trucks representing 7 companies from Indiana, 5 from Wisconsin, and 63 from Illinois. As the trucks lined up in the stadium’s East Lot, bikes, stuffed animals, and more were loaded into trailers. The 52-foot-long Toys for Tots semi-truck was filled with donations that were later taken to the Toy Box Connection organization based in Orland Park.

This year’s huge parade traveled through Bridgeview, Bedford Park, and Summit by starting on 71st Street, making its way north up Roberts Road and Archer Avenue, turning onto 63rd Street, coming south down Harlem Avenue, and finishing on 71st Street to return to the stadium parking lot. The toys collected will be distributed to children throughout the holiday season, bringing joy and making an impact on local communities.
