The Chicago Stars FC are a team that never stops fighting, and their final game showed just that. Heading into their final game and home game of the season against Angel City FC, the Stars were the underdogs eager for a win.
The Angels struck first, scoring in the first half while keeping the Stars at bay. The crowd rallied behind the home team despite the momentum against them, knowing that it was only a matter of time before the athletes fought back. Midfielder Jameese Joseph kicked a powerful shot to the back of net in the 49th minute, tying the game bringing back the momentum for Chicago. After an air-tight deadlock between the two teams for the rest of the second half, forward Ally Schlegel put the pressure on. The Angel City goalie blocked her powerful strike, but Schlegel kept moving forward and knocked the rebound in with her torso to win the game in the 98th minute!!
The crowd went wild at the last-second, game-winning goal that finished the Stars’ 2025 season in spectacular style. The Village of Bridgeview congratulates the Chicago Stars on their season-ending win.
