The Village of Bridgeview’s speed sign is placed in different locations throughout the community to show drivers their speeds and remind passing cars of the speed limit. Some drivers passing through our residential areas go above the 20 miles-per-hour speed limit, posing a risk to pedestrians and other cars that our community wants to avoid. The useful electronic display gives a flashing notice to speeding cars that may not even realize how fast they are moving and helps reduce speed violations. Bikers cycle around, children walk to school, families walk their dogs, and people drive throughout our Village, meaning there are plenty of people to protect by following our traffic laws. Let’s all be mindful of our driving speeds to keep our fellow community members safe.
