Bridgeview has three emergency sirens which comprise the Village’s Emergency Outdoor Warning Siren System which are located at the Emergency Management Agency building, Village Hall, and Muehe Park. Recently, automatic monitoring and local activation features have been added to our system. These sirens as well as those of neighboring communities are typically turned on by Oak Lawn 911 operations when severe weather is reported. In the event that the sirens are not activated by 911 operations, the Village of Bridgeview now has the ability to activate the sirens on its own. This additional safeguard serves as a valuable backup and will ensure that the sirens are tested and activated as needed for the safety of the Village.
