For the first time ever US Lax Events brought young lacrosse
athletes from across the US to the Bridgeview Sports Fields for the Midwest
Elite Top 80 Showcase and Tournament. The two-day event was conducted on the
Bridgeview’s outdoor artificial turf fields and sports dome. The Showcase, held
on November 12th, allowed individual athletes to participate in
single and team drills as well as compete in a game at the direction of
participating college coaches. Over 40 coaches representing college teams were
in attendance to scout emerging talent. According to the US Lax website the
event was open to all boys on track to graduate in 2023-2026 with or without a
nomination. The Midwest Elite Top 80 Tournament was held the next day where 16
teams competed to be the top team and impress recruiters.
