Bridgeview State Farm Agent Vic Portillo recently donated school supplies to Indian Springs School District 109 to support children starting their school years and also donated National Fire Prevention Week educational materials to the Bridgeview Fire Department. The Fire Prevention Week donation includes 100 children’s activity booklets, adult brochures, 10 Tips for Fire Safety brochures, magnets, and stickers to educate Bridgeview residents on fire safety and proper smoke alarm usage in accordance with this year’s theme. The Bridgeview Fire Department also uses the donated educational materials to teach children in schools about keeping their families safe from fires. Saving lives, homes, and the environment from fires takes all of us, and every October we are reminded to consider our f ire preparedness and improve our emergency plans.

Vic Portillo has been a local business owner active in the Bridgeview community for decades. He is an agent with State Farm and currently serves as Vice President of the Bridgeview Chamber of Commerce.
