Autumn brought a plentiful harvest to Bridgeview’s Community Center where residents aged 55+ gathered on Wednesday, October 16th at 11:30am to celebrate the season of change. Delicious food, fall-themed giveaways, and the ever-popular Charles & Company ensured the crowd left with smiles on their faces.

The Community Center wowed attendees with hay bales, leaf balloons, corn husks, and other beautiful fall decorations. Seniors dined on delicious eats from Niko’s, including bratwurst, hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, buns, and more along with water, lemonade, and coffee refreshed at every table as needed throughout the event. A mouth-watering slice of pumpkin pie with optional whip cream served as the seasonal dessert.

Charles & Company played their hearts out, making people’s feet move to the grove throughout the Community Center. People danced, sang, and laughed the afternoon away as Charles played his guitar with the musical accompaniment of the keyboarder, drummer, and fellow guitarist. When Charles took a break, the exciting calling of the prize giveaways began, with Clerk John Altar delivering the autumn treats to the winners. Bridgeview residents lucky enough to have their raffle ticket numbers called received fall-themed door decorations and gift baskets with chocolates, candles, stuffed animals, and more.

The Village of Bridgeview appreciates all who attended for making the Fall Harvest Luncheon so fantastic.
