At the September 18th meeting of the Village Board, Village Trustee Patricia Higginson presented an award to longtime employee EMA Commander Donald Pointer. Pointer accepted the award honoring him for his 20 years of service to the Village of Bridgeview as part of the Emergency Management Agency (EMA) where he began his career as a volunteer. Pointer worked his way up to Commander as he helped improve the Village’s emergency management plans and managed incoming weather reports from the radio channel of the National Weather Service. Commander Pointer has also served as a photographer and videographer for the Village, and he currently works part-time as a school police officer. The Board of Trustees commended him for his dedication to his community and years of service.

“We appreciate all that you’ve done for the Village of Bridgeview throughout your distinguished career, and it is my honor to present you with this award,” said Trustee Patricia Higginson.
