On April 2nd, the Hampton Inn & Suites of Bridgeview, neighbor of SeatGeek Stadium, held its Annual Autism Awareness Fundraiser in support of Autism Acceptance Month to promote acceptance, understanding, and inclusion of people with autism. The event successfully raised $1,416 for the Tree House Learning and Development Organization, an organization dedicated to supporting youth and adults with autism, and the donations will help fund tuition scholarships for students with learning disabilities to help make education more accessible.

Hampton Inn staff and other attendees bought tons of freshly made tantalizing tacos at $3 each along with fluffy $5 whip cream pies to smash into the smiling faces of Hampton volunteers while a DJ played music for a fun and engaging fundraiser. The hotel contributed $350 worth of ingredients for tacos and pies, ensuring that every dollar raised went directly to the cause. Hampton Sales and Marketing Manager Janet Lopez also collaborated with SeatGeek Stadium music festival groups Summer Smash and North Coast to raffle off free festival tickets to encourage donations in support of the great cause while fostering a sense of community.

“Our goal was to maximize the impact of every donation,” said Janete. “By covering the cost of food ourselves, we ensured that 100% of the funds raised could go directly to Tree House Learning and Development, an organization doing incredible work in education and youth support.”
