Bridgeview, Illinois — The Bridgeview Police Department today announced it issued 76 citations during the Memorial Day “Click It or Ticket” enforcement period.
“Through the Memorial Day enforcement campaign, we helped make Illinois roads safer and spread the word that seat belts save lives,” said Chief Ricardo Mancha.
During the enforcement period, Bridgeview Police officers wrote 57 citations for seat belt violations and took the following additional actions:
· 2 child car seat citations
· 2 no valid driver license arrests
· 1 uninsured motorist citations
· 1 distracted driving citation
· 3 avoiding traffic signal citations
· 7 lane/median violation citations
