Three Village of Bridgeview Trustees were elected in the April 1st Consolidated Election, with Trustee Gary Lewis, head of the Public Works Committee, and Michael Pticek, head of the Senior Citizens Committee, each winning re-election. Trustee Laura Cardenas is the newly elected trustee replacing retiring Trustee Claudette Struzik who has passed the torch to someone with a kindred passion for serving her community. Trustee Laura Cardenas joins the Village of Bridgeview Board after serving for five years on the Indian Springs School District 109 Board of Education.

Retired Judge Pat Rogers honorably swore in the elected trustees in front of a small crowd of community members at the May 7th Board Meeting.

“We have a dedicated group of Village Trustees here who have exemplary records of public service and support the delivery of quality services to all our residents,” explained Mayor Landek. “In Bridgeview, we pave the roads, upgrade our water infrastructure, and hold the line on property taxes. It’s not always easy, but our Village does that work with smiles on our faces most days because we care about our community.”

The Trustees thanked the residents of Bridgeview for putting their faith in the Board’s work and vowed to maintain the quality services the community has come to expect. Trustee Laura Cardenas was especially thankful for community support as she assumed her new role.

“I’m very grateful for the opportunity to serve the Village and my community, and I will do so to the best of my ability.”

Trustee Struzik shows off her Trustee nameplate gifted to her for her decades of service as Deputy Clerk, Clerk, and Trustee.
