On Thursday, March 20th the Village of Bridgeview, Township of Lyons Clerk’s Office, and Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs held a Veterans Resource Fair at the Bridgeview Community Center from 10am to 2pm. Over fifteen different agencies and organizations attended the event to provide information on topics ranging from healthcare to burials to taxes. Township of Lyons Assessor Pat Hynes was on site at the Lyons Township Mental Health Commission table to offer tax assistance to veterans curious to learn about the tax credits they’re entitled to and how to claim them.
