Village Trustees Patricia Higginson and Laura Cardenas joined Bridgeview police officers and volunteers collecting donations for the Special Olympics outside of the Dunkin’ Donuts at 79th St. & Roberts Rd. the morning of Friday, May 15th. Bridgeview supports this annual statewide “Cop On a Rooftop” effort every year, with officers placing squad cars with flashing lights outside the business to attract attention, waving cars into the parking lot, and casting a fishing line with a giant inflatable donut attached from the rooftop of the Dunkin’ building. This year, the Bridgeview team raised $6,275!

“Bridgeview always participates in the Cop On a Rooftop fundraiser because it’s a great community endeavor,” explained Trustee Higginson. “We’ll continue to support the Illinois Special Olympics for years to come!”
