Los Angeles, CA/Chicago, IL – July 12th, 2023 – PRIMETIME Sports has confirmed that the international friendly match between Club Deportivo Guadalajara and Club León will be played on Saturday, September 9th at 6:00 p.m. CDT at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, Illinois.
Chivas de Guadalajara is the only Liga MX club that plays exclusively with Mexican players and it’s one of the most popular and most-winning teams in Mexico, with 12 league titles, 4 Cup titles and a CONCACAF Championship. Chivas is the runner-up of the recent Clausura 2023 Liga MX Tournament.
Club León, eight times Liga MX champion, won its first CONCACAF Champions League trophy by defeating LAFC in the final of the 2023 Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League tournament on June 4th. By winning this prestigious tournament, Club León earned the right to play the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup in Saudi Arabia in December.
Fans will be able to enjoy a Fan Fest outside the stadium starting at 2:00 p.m. CDT consisting of live music, food, championship trophies, and an autograph-signing session with a former Chivas legend. The game will be broadcast live on Telemundo.
