Argo and Reavis players race to keep control of the ball!

Bridgeview’s SeatGeek Stadium, our community’s very own professional soccer venue, once again opened its gates to the spirited annual Boys High School Varsity Soccer match between Argo and Reavis High Schools. The student-athletes’ much-anticipated game on the Major League Soccer-approved field took place on Monday, October 14th, drawing enthusiastic crowds from both school communities.

The game saw close calls, impressive saves, and strategic plays that kept the audience on the edge of their seats. The goalkeepers were tested repeatedly, with the Reavis Rams coming out strong in the first half with two crowd-pleasing goals.

Despite being down 0-2, the Argonauts never gave up. As the game progressed, Argo put the pressure back onto Reavis with swift counterattacks and well-coordinated passes. In the blink of an eye, the score was tied at 2-2. Friends and family of the soccer players cheered for both teams as the game intensified.

After a back-and-forth match, one team finally gained the upper hand. With time ticking down, the Argonauts scored a game-winning goal despite the best efforts of the Rams and secured a 3-2 victory that sent the crowd into a frenzy.

The annual showdown at Bridgeview’s SeatGeek Stadium continues to be a highlight of the boys’ high school soccer season, fostering a sense of community and pride among the students and their supporters. The Village of Bridgeview appreciates the chance to let students play on a field home to the Chicago Stars FC and the Chicago Fire FC II and thanks fans for coming out to cheer on their local athletes.
